VILEBREQUIN COMMITS TO THE OCEAN

By Crash redaction

VILEBREQUIN COLLABORATION WITH TE MANA O TE MOANA ASSOCIATION

For Vilebrequin, 2016 starts with good resolutions. Indeed, the brand decides to commit to the ocean thanks to a collaboration with Te Mana o Te Moana Association. Founded in 2004 by Cécile Gaspar, the association takes its name from its first rescued turtle called Moana, which means « ocean » in Tahitian. Te Mana o Te Moana strives to protect marine environment through the development of its clinic for sea turtles and through projects consecrated to develop sea ecosystem’s awareness. Twelve years later, more than 400 turtles have been rescued and healed by the association and more than half of them have been since then released in their natural environment. In 2016, Vilebrequin decides to financially support Te Mana o Te Moana in the development of its clinic and day to day work, as well as its educational program. The Studio Vilebrequin designed for the occasion the exclusive swimsuit model Moorea, made for father and son. The limited swimsuit edition takes inspiration from the seabed’s bright colors. The stamp represents little navy blue turtles overlapped, swimming through a green and blue globe moving lagoon.
The exclusive swimsuit collection will be available for purchase online and in store from the Spring 2016.
