VIONNET OPENS ITS FIRST PARIS FLAGSHIP STORE

By Crash redaction

PARIS HAS NOW A VIONNET STORE

On October 1rst, the first Paris Vionnet store was opened. The brand new shop of 250 square meters, is located on Rue Francois 1er, near Madeleine Vionnet’s original atelier on Avenue Montaigne. Architect Renato Montagner worked closely with Goga Ashkenazi, Vionnet’s creative director, to create a modern and luxurious contemporary boutique. “The key to my collaboration with Renato was using his ability to reinterpret the original atmosphere of a Maison where the project becomes a private experience,”said Goga Ashkenazi. Indeed, Montagner got inspired by some iconic Vionnet designs that he subtly introduced in the boutique decoration, such as her revolutionary signature draping inspired by the Greek architecture, patterns from the 20s and vintage illustrations designed by the artist Thayaht, pulled from the House’s archives. Thereby, the store unfolds the feeling of an atelier rather than a traditional boutique. In addition to discovering the unique interior of the flagship, clients can also watch the Vionnet runway shows projected on a giant wall running the course of the two floors, all while shopping.

Vionnet will open its online shop as from October 15th.
