WALTER VAN BEIRENDONCK FALL-WINTER 2015-16 PARIS
By Crash redaction
On this first day of Paris Men’s Fashion Week, the Walter Van Beirendonck show was yet another demonstration of the designer endless creativity and unique vision. Presented in the very Parisian Hôtel d’Evreux on Place Vendôme, the collection couldn’t have stood out more than in front of the beautiful tapestry found in each on the intimates « salons ». Intimate it was, as the models were walking so close to the audience in the front row that you could feel the coats and long tops slide through your laps. The collection was as inventive and as politically involved as can be. The first looks to come out were transparent plastic shirts that read « WARNING EXPLICIT BEAUTY » or « STOP TERRORISING OUR WORLD » and made an impact right from the start.
