WE ARE HAPPY TO SERVE YOU : WORDS IN ART EXHIBITION AT 22 VISCONTI

One of the most common threads of growth of humanity is the use of language – words. Words both verbal or written used to communicate feelings, desires, objects, past, present and future. Learning the language of your country, your community, your family, your friends, right down to the commands you give your pets maintain the common thread.  The thread exposes the majority of the communication, and the ultimate understanding between you and those around you started off with visual associations to give words their meaning.

22 Visconti presents ‘We Are Happy To Serve You’ in their independent, experiemental space at the heart of Saint-Germain-des-Près. The historic location of the gallery has alotted 22 Visconti with neighbours such as Racine in 1699 and Balzac, which only adds to the impressive quality of the space.

The examination of words and visual art are delivered in the forms of poetic love songs by Robert Montgomery, through subliminal messages and equations by Jean-Michel Pancin. drawings and writings by Julien Serve, Yves Klein, the Yes Men with Packard Jennings present invented newspapers and Frank Perrin delivers his message through the reminder that « Servants are best friends »,  and that « Paradise is to rent » while Michaela Spiegel presents her « speaking houses ».
