POETIC ASYMETRY AT YOHJI YAMAMOTO SS18

By Crash redaction

As always, the Yohji Yamamoto show was a collection of beautifully deconstructed black garments, delicately draped fabrics and asymetric tailoring. The designer also played with the « no gender » aesthetic blurring the line between what’s feminine and what’s masculine. Many pieces had big round buttons, for the client to customize his clothes how ever he wants and in multiple different imaginative ways. Adding to the monochromatic black palette, touches of passionate red were present in accessories, vaporous jackets and prints.
