YOUTH CULTURE AT DIOR HOMME A/W 2018

By Crash redaction

For the Dior Homme winter 2018 collection, Kris Van Assche wanted to play with the duality of youth and maturity, constantly blurring the lines between classic and futuristic. Staying true to the Dior Homme aesthetic, the suit is, of course, at the center of the collection : belted, double-breasted or forest green, it took on multiple variations.

The key element of the collection was the tribal motif, which was a play on 90s beachwear and skater teens, but most importantly on shameful tattoos one gets on the spur of the moment. The print was seen on classic suits, shirts and scarves and is again a proof that retro elements deemed tacky are making a come-back for the best.
