When Mareva Grabowski and Dimitra Kolotura created their brand, Zeus+Δione, a few years a go, it was for them a way to react to the unprecedented economic crisis that hit Greece, their native country. From the start of this adventure, both of them had the goal to contribute rebooting the Greek economy, mainly through the industry of silk, which had been Greece’s strong pillar from the 1920s. Most precisely, the small town of Soufli, located in the North-East of the country, was renowned for its production of high quality silk yarn that was exported to the rest of Europe. Though the production had dramatically decreased due to the political and social difficulties, Grabowski and Kolotura made a point of keeping this unique know-how alive and help transmitting it to younger generations.

The exquisite quality of fabrics is the true essence of Zeus+Δione. Manufactured all over Greece, in towns where craftsmanship is essential, the cotton, silk, and wool of the collections come with premium quality. Leather is also a great part of the brand’s identity and originates from Florence, Italy. All leather goods – sandals, bags – are then manufactured in Greece. For this Spring-Summer collection, the silhouettes are fluid, with long silk dresses in black and white tones and accentuated waist with golden stripes or adjustable ropes. Greece-inspired prints are found on flowy blouses and pants and give the ensemble an easy feeling.

Through their brand, Mareva Grabowski and Dimitra Kolotura show a great sense of commitment. Some time ago, they created a Foundation aiming at transmitting Greece’s valuable artisanal know-how to younger generations. The Foundation quickly got the support of Hermès. Grabowski and Kolotura also created a magazine, « Authentic », an immersion into their brand’s identity and values. Zeus+Δione is a journey between reality and myth and the brand’s name proudly references to Greek mythology. Zeus, God of all Gods, and Dione, daughter of Oceanus gave birth to Aphrodite, Goddess of love and beauty. A perfect way to define Dimitra Kolotura and Mareva Grabowski’s brand.

Zeus+Δione is present in 70 department stores internationally and is now exclusively available at Le Bon Marché in Paris. The brand’s first store opening is scheduled this year in Athens.
